RECEIVED
Elliott Russell,CO.DRMS 4/24/2025
1313 Sherman Street APR 2 8 2025
Room 215 Colorado Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Saftey
Denver CO. 80203
George Quist,Quist Mining
1849 Trail Creek Rd.
Lake George,CO.80827
Ammeded Application for Limited Impact Operation (110(1)) Reclamation
Permit, and Acreage Reduction (Partial Release), Permit # M-2023-002.
To all parties concerned. We want to release 3 acres from our Three-and Four-Point
claims. We believe this is necessary because the 3 acres we want to let go do not contain
enough pegmatite for us to continue mining. There are 1.14 acres that have been mined on
Three and Four Point and .86 acres that are left to be mined containing large pegmatites for
a total of 2 acres left on the Three- and Four-Point claims. However, on the .86 acres some
of the area is overlapped onto the1.14 disturbed area and will not be re-dug(it's our
estimate that at least .10 or more of the .86 will not be disturbed). Mining on the Three and
Four Point .86 acre dig site will begin the 1st week in May 2025 and will not go over the 2 acre
left remaining.
We are waiving our right to the timeframes of rule 4.17.2 to coincide with the approval of
AM1. This will help us to begin more quickly with moving the 3 released acres from the
Three-and Four-Point Claims to the new 3-acre site on our Silver Microcline and Hilltop
Claims. Mining and reclamation activities approved in M-2023-002 have yet to commence
for the 3 acres on the Silver Microcline and Hilltop location therefore the release does not
involve any disturbance evaluation of reclaimed lands. Mining will not begin on the Silver
Microcline and Hilltop locations without the final approval from the Colorado DRMS, USDA
Forest Service,Teller County and all other required entities.
The need to move the 3 acres from the Three- and Four-Point Claims to the Silver
Microcline and Hilltop Claim site is extremely important. The new site geologically is very
prolific with large pegmatites critical to a successful mining operation.
Thank you! Sincerely, George L. Quist
- /ate//ad2s
Signature Date
