Exhibit C — Mining Plan, 6.3.3
Correlates to map exhibit E
a.) 2024 thru 2050
b.) Usable and salvaged soil suitable for revegetation shall be stockpiled on the
southeast side of the pit, away from construction and traffic. The soils shall be
augmented/fertilized for future reclamation. Long term storage piles to be seeded
to reduce erosion and for dust abatement.
c.) Little if any overburden in already mined pit. If any encountered it will added to
reclamation soil. No rock
d.) The deposit of decomposed granite varies from 1 to 25'in depth.
e.) The existing access road and entry will be used. Processing equipment shall be
stationary and motorized screen plants, loaders, dozers, excavators as support
equipment. a portable office building 20'x 12'. No audits, underground openings.
f.) The land surface has been mined for 100+years for a local source of gravel. The
entire area has been lowered/excavated 5-35'. Some mine benches exist. no
impoundments or waste rock.
g.) The existing access road will be utilized and is approx. 600 feet tong x 16-20'wide.
Seasonal grading of roads should be expected for maintenance. No offsite roads or
drainage structures.
h.) 1000-gal day as needed for dust control. Source is well and or irrigation ditch.John
Councilman owns well and water right from ditch.
i.) Not mining below ground water is the best way to comply. Should water be
encountered.A containment pond shall be constructed to retain said water long
enough to settle out contaminants before running off site .This usually requires a
permit from the Colorado dept of water and natural resources.
j.) Limit water consumption to legal well flow rate. Limit extraction of ditch water to
that witch does not affect down stream users. Do not mine below the water table or
convey water in any way to harm downstream users.
k.) Refuse shall be discarded in dumpster or hauled to landfill.Any acids and
contaminants shall be evaluated to determine if they are a pubic health risk and at
that time determine how to be handled and disposed of.
l.) The areas reclaimed shall be such that any runoff mimics that of original runoff.
Grades shall not exceed a slope that is not conducive to healthy plant growth.
