Ref.Page No. M2009-006 00079
6.4.7 EXHIBIT G)
The mining operation as currently conducted does not, and as to be conducted in any
areas of expansion pursuant to the permit are not expected to, directly affect surface
or groundwater systems at the Affected Land or adjacent properties. There is no
expectation that any surface or ground water systems will be affected by any mining
operations at the Affected Land.
The area of mining operations, and the Affected Land, are on the western slope of a
steep valley, significantly above the valley floor. Due to the topography of the Affected
Land there is no surface water, and ground water aquifers are at depths significantly
below the level of any expected mining operations.
There is a water course that runs through the Affected Land at the eastern most
boundary of the property. While no runoff from operations has been observed, as a
precautionary measure the Applicant will install a sediment berm along the area of
the water course which might see any runoff. See Exhibit D, Image D-2 of this
Application.
Rest of page intentionally left blank.
