Comment/Objection Narrative*
We urge you not to approve Grand Island Resouce's application to expand the Cross Mine.Our major concern
is that doing so will adversely impact water quality. Past water treatment violations are good reasons NOT to
expand now.The thought of these violations continuing to occur on an additional 200 acres is scary!
We are also concerned about fire danger from stored explosives and about how wildlife and plant life will be
affected by the chemicals Please protect the land and the people who live nearby and in Boulder by denying the
expansion.
We have hiked around the Caribou townsite for over half a century and fervently hope the land and water will
remain relatively uncontaminated for another half century at least.
