Please be as specific
as possible.
Comment/Objection Narrative*
This application is asking for a x20 expansion in Natural habitat rich in diverse wildlife. Land seems easy to
grab but hard to return to its natural state;200 acres would hold 151 football fields,647 Olympic size pools.
The upgrades to their water treatment plant do not appear rigorous enough for anything like a x20 expansion. In
Dec 2024,the water testing revealed a leak of copper into the water system many, many times too high. This
water system is part of the Boulder City one providing drinking water to residents.
Accidents are always possible; but there is potential for harm to our children and grandchildren in the next 50
years! What additional water safety backup plans exist?
How will up to 40,000 cubic yards of waste material be moved and processed.?
The existing roads and local properties impacted are in a highly rural, not industrial area.
The impacts on the land, water systems, wildlife, neighbors and Boulder County infrastructure for the next 5-10
decades are too big for this application to be supported.
Permitting Action Comment/Objection is Regarding
• New Permit Change to Existing Permit
