Please be as specific
as possible.
Comment/Objection Narrative*
I know this expansion is receiving a lot of comments regarding recreational access. I'd like to add another
comment.Currently, access to the Caribou skiing area is at the end of the plowed part of Boulder County Rd
128J.This land is a mix of private land owned by Grand Island Resources, Boulder County, and the LISFS.
Parking is currently done along the right of way of Caribou Rd/Co Rd 128J,and FS 505.1. However, this access
is informal and may be inhibited depending on the expansion plans. As part of this expansion proposal,to
protect access to recreation opportunities in the area, Grand Island Resources should be required to dedicate
and improve specific areas for winter parking, while maintaining existing access to parking at the end of the
plowed section of road and along the side of the roads within the road right of way. I believe this balances the
potential impacts to recreational opportunities in the area with the desire of Grand Island Resources to expand
their operation.
Permitting Action Comment/Objection is Regarding
New Permit Change to Existing Permit
Permit Number*(?)
Enter a valid permit number
M1977410
