Comment/Objection Narrative*
I have recently become aware of FRICO's previous and proposed actions. My first concern is that the actions of
this entity have already done significant environmental damage to Lake Christina(an HOA amenity site). My
second concern is that when I attended an HOA meeting last night, I realized that a the Permittee is on the
HOA Board of Directors and the appropriate conflict of interest precautions have not been taken throughout this
process. My third concern is that I have been aware of a conflict regarding the ownership and control of the
impacted land, and that legal conflict has not been resolved prior to actions FRICO took on the land.
My fourth concern is that the HOA members were told last night that FRICO would clean up the current damage
before engaging in any additional damage, and in a previous meeting, it was acknowledged by the Permittee
that the appropriate permits were not obtained for work that led to the current damage. And finally, I am
concerned about the proposed industrial operation that involved land that is part of and near to our residential
neighborhood.
As a property owner, I do not typically engage in this kind of political discourse, and I am not even sure how any
entity will be able to unravel all of the previous missteps to even determine the prudent way forward. That being
said, I am trusting the the permitting process will include consideration of past and potential damage to the
quality of life in the neighborhood, the environment, and the property values, all of which are threatened by both
past and proposed actions. This process has been the model of abuse of power and lack of consideration for
impacted parties. I appreciate the opportunity to voice concerns that the proper authorities can weigh in on
before sanctioning additional damage to our neighborhood through industrial activities.
Permitting Action Comment/Objection is Regarding
• New Permit Change to Existing Permit
Permit Number* (?)
Enter a valid permit number
M2024057
County*
Colorado County where the proposed operation is located
Weld
Enter one county only
Site Name
FRICO
Permittee/Operator Name
Scott Edgar
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Are there supporting photos, maps, or documents you wish to upload?
Yes - No
By submitting this form electronically you agree to receive any/all follow up correspondence from the Division of
Reclamation, Mining, and Safety at the email address you have provided.
