Comment/Objection Narrative*
1.When we purchased our land in September 2020 and built our dream/retirement home at Beebe Draw
Farms,we were aware that more homes would be constructed on the east side of Milton Reservoir. However,
we were never informed that FRICO would be dredging the reservoir, which has now left us with massive piles
of sand instead of the scenic lake views we had admired when we bought the property.Additionally,we were
not told that we would be subjected to constant loud noises from dredging equipment and trucks operating 24/7.
The dust from this process has also severely aggravated my asthma.
2. Moving to Beebe Draw Farms was meant to be our escape from the city—seeking cleaner air,a calmer, more
relaxing atmosphere, less noise, and a peaceful sanctuary. We were looking forward to enjoying a private lake,
swimming pool, putting green, and horse trails.
3.The dredging started without any prior notice to residents, and the mining permits were applied for without
any communication. We were under the impression that homes would be built on this land. The first time we
learned about the mining operation was during a meeting held by FRICO on February 26,2025. Now we've
been informed that they are applying for a mining permit in addition to the ongoing dredging! This will drastically
disrupt our lives—bright lights all night, constant truck noise 24/7, more dust, continuous machinery noise, wash
plants running, and an overall invasion of the peaceful neighborhood we thought we were moving to.
Furthermore,we're concerned about the potential health risks posed by diesel fumes, dust, and chemicals used
to clean the sand. This mining facility is far too close to residential homes!
4.Our house is approximately%of an acre away from where we understand the mining plant will be placed.
This is utterly outrageous and FRICO owns a lot of land and has other options as to where they can place the
plant that is not near or even close to Residential homes! If you are going to approve a mining permit for them
can you please make sure it is away from our homes!
Permitting Action Comment/Objection is Regarding
• New Permit Change to Existing Permit
Permit Number* (7)
Enter a valid permit number
M2024057
County*
Colorado County where the proposed operation is located
Weld
Enter one county only
Site Name
Perm ittee/Operator Name
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Are there supporting photos, maps, or documents you wish to upload?
Yes No
Upload Supporting Documents
Maximum of 5 files can be uploaded and each file size must be 10mb and under.
