Gunnison Ave, Suite 240 Grand Junction, CO 81501-5711 Re: Yoast Mine (Permit No. C-1994-082) Permit Renewal Application No. 6 (RN-6) Dear Sir or Madam: The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on February 6, 2025, an application to renew an existing permit to conduct coal mining operations at the Yoast Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. Seneca Property LLC proposes to continue surface coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located approximately 7 miles Southwest of Hayden, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: T6N, R87W, Portions of Sections 28, 29 and 32 T5N, R87W, All of Section 17; Portions of Sections 5, 8, 16, 18, 19, 20, 29, 30 The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map(s): Mount Harris. Renewal 6 Yoast Mine. This renewal application does not propose revisions to the approved mining and reclamation plan, nor is there any proposed surface disturbance outside of the currently approved disturbance area. The fish and wildlife resource information and the fish and wildlife plan currently approved and any proposed revision thereof (if applicable) is available for review on the Division’s website (please see instructions below).
