No hydrologic or <br />air quality issues were detected at the time of inspection. Skies were cloudy, and there was an <br />intermittent breeze. Temperatures ranged between -5 and 20 degrees Fahrenheit. <br /> <br />PERMITTING ACTIONS in PROGRESS: <br />PR12 <br /> <br />INSPECTION <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />Coal and overburden were being loaded and hauled. <br /> <br />J Pit West: The highwall miner was operating and coal hauling was taking place. The Queen Ann <br />dragline was inactive at the time of inspection. The excavation of the west end of J Pit is scheduled to be <br />completed by mid March and then highwall mining can begin. Mining is anticipated to be complete by <br />late spring. The.25 million tons of coal in J Pit East will not be further developed. <br /> <br />N Pit: A blast was being set up and drilled. Loading and hauling of overburden from N Pit excavation <br />was occurring at the time of inspection. The building out of a ramp at the west end of the pit was taking <br />place. <br /> <br />L Pit: The Baby Doe was idle in north end of the pit and Molly Brown was working at the south end of <br />the pit to develop the Knob extension. <br /> <br />The Ready Line pad was in good repair without ruts or standing water. The diesel tank was secure with <br />the requisite protective perimeter ditch and lining material in good repair. The flat surfaces of the Ash Pit <br />were dry and firm, with no standing water or ruts. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
