Reclamation Plan for Robins <br /> Consolidated Expansion Pit <br /> Antonito, Colorado <br /> Exhibit E Reclamation Plan <br /> Introduction <br /> The Robins Consolidated Expansion Pit, located in Antonito, Colorado, is subject to reclamation <br /> requirements as stipulated by the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (DRMS) <br /> under the Department of Natural Resources. This reclamation plan outlines the necessary steps <br /> to ensure the pit's closure complies with all applicable regulations and promotes environmental <br /> sustainability. <br /> Objectives <br /> The primary objectives of the reclamation plan are: <br /> • To restore the land to a condition suitable for its designated post-mining use. <br /> • To stabilize the site and prevent erosion, ensuring long-term ecological integrity. <br /> • To promote the re-establishment of vegetation and wildlife habitats. <br /> • To protect water quality and manage stormwater runoff effectively. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Robins Consolidated Expansion Pit is a gravel mining site situated in Antonito, Colorado. <br /> The site covers an area of approximately 68 acres, with varying topography and soil <br /> composition. The existing pit cover approx. 46 acres The surrounding land use includes <br /> agricultural fields, natural habitats, and residential areas. <br /> Reclamation Phases <br /> The reclamation process will be executed in several phases, each focusing on specific aspects <br /> of site restoration (See Exhibit F) . The reclamation plan will coincide with the Stormwater <br /> objectives. Final grading and placement of Topsoil along with stabilization measures will be <br /> conducted in phases (approx. 6.8 acres at a time). <br /> Pre-Closure Planning <br /> A detailed site assessment to evaluate existing conditions, including soil quality, vegetation <br /> cover, and water resources concluded the following: It has been determined existing topsoil will <br /> be salvaged and stockpiled adjacent to pit operations. .
