PART 1: GENERAL <br />1.1. Summary <br />Pipe guards shall consist of steel pipe backfilled with concrete. <br />1.2. Related Sections <br />Refer to the following Sections for related work: <br /> Section 03300 ‐ Cast‐in‐Place Concrete <br />1.3. Tolerances <br />Pipe bollards shall be constructed and placed as shown on the DRAWINGS. <br />1.4. Quality Assurance <br />Any work found unsatisfactory or any work disturbed by subsequent operations before <br />acceptance is granted shall be corrected by CONTRACTOR as directed by MANAGER. <br />2. PART 2: PRODUCTS <br />2.1. Materials <br />A. Cast‐in‐place concrete used to fill pipe bollards shall be concrete as specified in Section <br />03300. <br />B. Pipe shall be 36 kips per square inch (ksi) standard steel pipe, with a nominal diameter <br />of 6‐inches, and a minimum wall thickness of 0.28‐inches. <br />3. PART 3 SUMMARY <br />3.1. Execution <br />A. Install pipe bollards to depths and in locations as shown on DRAWINGS. <br />B. Backfill pipe bollards with lean concrete to the lines and grades shown on DRAWINGS.
