PROJECT DEVIATIONS
Throughout construction, the following deviations from the IFC drawings and Specifications were
made and were approved by the Project Certifying Engineer.
 HDPE single sided textured geomembrane was placed as the geomembrane in the leak
detection trenches. NewFields notified CC&V of the substitution allowance by letter. The
letter explaining the reasoning for allowing the substitution is presented in Appendix J.
The letter was reviewed by the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety in
August of 2024.
 The final slope above the lined pad in isolated areas was finished to steeper than
envisioned on the IFC drawings, however the perimeter bench was widened to maintain
the overall slope of 2(H):1(V).
5. ENGINEER’S OPINION
Based on the construction activities observed, testing performed, and inspections completed,
NewFields certifies that the project was constructed in general accordance with the approved
design and technical specifications.
Sincerely,
NewFields,

Tyler Wendlandt
Project Resident

Jay N.
