W11a]
(i) General Drainage Plan
(i)(A) Sediment ponds B, C, J, K, and F and the general drainage plan for the main
site, loadout and new gob pile were prepared under the direction of J. E.
Stover, Colorado Professional Engineer, No. 19230. Sediment pond D and
the general drainage plan for the gob pile were prepared under the direction
of Allan J. Breitenbach, Colorado Professional Engineer, No. 15247.
(i)(B) A description of the ponds is presented above. Detail drawings of ponds B,
C, J, K, F, and D are presented on Map Nos. 22-13, 22-C, 22-J, 22-K, and
Volume IX Figures 3 and 5 respectively.
The preliminary hydrologic and geologic information required to assess the
hydrologic impact of the structures are presented in Volume III, Exhibit 8 for
ponds B, C, and K, Volume IV, Appendices A and B for the refuse pile pond,
Volume IX, Appendix B, for Pond F and Volume XI, Appendix B for Pond J.
No underground mining has occurred under any of the sediment ponds and
none is anticipated.
Not applicable.
(ii) Detailed Design Plans
(ii)(A) Sediment ponds B, C, D, J, K, and F and the drainage plan for the main site,
loadout and gob piles were prepared under the direction of J. E. Stover,
Colorado Professional Engineer, No. 19230 and/or Tamme Bishop, Colorado
Professional Engineer, No. 43402.
(ii)(B) The following design specification for the sediment ponds is adapted from
Rule 4.05.6(11):
The embankment foundation area shall be cleared of all organic matter, all
surfaces sloped no steeper than 1h:1v, and the entire foundation surface
scarified.
MR -168 2.05-39- 11/14
