1 . Background Information <br /> 1 .1 . Site Description <br /> The North Hangs site is located slightly southwest of Silt in Garfield County, Colorado. The site <br /> is located at 39.542688, -107.680721. The site is a total of 72.8 acres. <br /> The North Hangs Site bounded by Interstate 70 to the south and the Colorado River to the <br /> north. The surrounding areas include similar land uses such as mining, agriculture, and <br /> rangeland. A sand and gravel mine exists directly to the south across 1-70. The Bernudy ditch, <br /> owned by Grand River LLC, intersects the center of the site running east-west. The site is <br /> currently rangeland used for grazing.
