PROJECT MANAGER. This price shall include all materials, labor, equipment, rentals, <br /> coordination time, and all other items necessary and incidental to complete the tasks described <br /> in ITEM 7.0. <br /> ADDITIONAL BID ITEMS <br /> There are included on the Bid Schedule, several additional bid items. These bid items are not <br /> guaranteed and will be used only in the event that conditions change on site, and only after <br /> approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. The additional bid items for this project include: <br /> ITEM 8.0 Equipment Rental-ADDITIONAL (NOT GUARANTEED) <br /> Provide a 16,000 pound excavator, with operator, in accordance with Section 19, General Bid <br /> Specifications, 2009, as required by the PROJECT MANAGER. The estimated amount of <br /> equipment hours that may be required is five hours (5 hrs.) <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> The number of hours the equipment used as directed by PROJECT MANAGER under this <br /> specification will be counted to the nearest one half hour. Payment will be made at the unit price <br /> established by the Invitation and Bid Schedule. Such payment shall include the cost of all <br /> materials, accessories, labor, maintenance, operating supplies, salaries of operators, and any <br /> other expenses incidental to the operation of the equipment in the performance of work in <br /> accordance with this specification and bid item(s). Payment for this task will be upon completion <br /> of installation and upon approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. No extra payment will be made <br /> for the use of the same equipment while performing work on other bid items on the Invitation <br /> and Bid Sheet, Bid Schedules or Purchase Order Contract. No additional payment will be made <br /> for hauling equipment to or away from the work site except as may be proper under <br /> Mobilization/Demobilization. <br /> PROJECT OBSERVATION <br /> The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction activities <br /> and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design specifications. The <br /> PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) <br /> on weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior <br /> approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the Contractor's responsibility to schedule <br /> inspections with the PROJECT MANAGER so as not to delay the work. The following items must <br /> be observed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: <br /> 1. Placement and installation of Sediment Control Measures. <br /> 2. Placement and installation of water control measures on access road. <br /> 3. Approval of asbestos mitigation contractor prior to conducting asbestos abatement. <br /> Page 124 <br />
