Standard Dra,wing No. 1 is intended to <br />prov·ide installation details for ,precast <br />reinforced concrete panels to close hazardous <br />mine openings. Standard Drawing No. l shall <br />be used in conjunction with site specific <br />information in the. bid documents. <br />2 During excav·ation, the nature of the <br />bearing s.urface for precast concrete panels may <br />v·ary and show a different configuration than <br />that shown on the drawings. The contractor <br />shall notify the Project Manager of this situation <br />and v·arious panel footing options or layout <br />1nodifications will be authorized if required. <br />3, Concrete for panel footings, shims and <br />miscellaneous uses shall hav·e a minimum <br />compressiv·e strength of 3,000 psi at 28 days. <br />4 . Steel beam and built up steel section <br />supports for precast concrete panels are shown <br />in Table A for the maximum allowable fill <br />height of four feet for precast concrete panels. <br />The opening to be cov·ered may v·ary up to 24 <br />feet in span and. any length.
