Cross Gold Mine <br />December 2024 D-10 <br /> <br /> <br />8. Primary Commodities <br />The Cross Gold Mine will produce precious metal bearing ores from the Cross and Caribou mine <br />complexes. Upon construction of the mill these ores will be concentrated and the precious metals <br />bearing concentrates being shipped offsite. The primary metals to be produced are gold and silver, with <br />lead and zinc being secondary metals produced depending upon conditions. <br />9. Explosives Use <br />Explosives are used in the Cross Gold Mine’s ore extraction process. All explosives storage and handling <br />practices will adhere to the relevant federal regulations, including those set by the Mine Safety and Health <br />Administration (MSHA). Explosives will be kept in an on-site magazine, with its location indicated on the <br />Exhibit C maps. <br />A variety of explosives may be employed, depending on the specific area of the mine. These may include <br />dynamite (stick powder), ANFO (ammonium nitrate fuel oil), or a combination of both. Detonation <br />methods may utilize fuse primers, non-electric (nonel) detonators, or electric blasting caps. All explosive <br />materials and initiation devices will be stored, managed, and monitored in strict compliance with MSHA <br />standards, US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, and other applicable requirements.
