Reclamation treatment of specific items (e):
i. Remove temporary storm water controls (including sediment control facilities and
swales) required during operation.
ii. Use "no surface discharge" as the primary storm water control for the overall site,
except for existing permitted outfall 001 at SE corner of site to provide return flows
from Home Ditch irrigation in accordance with State water regulation.
iii. Use waste rock dumps (fines, reject material (from on-site), and/or off-site clean fill for
final grade (see above)
iv. No underground mine openings, buildings or other permanent features not listed
v. Provide for a stable configuration for livestock pasture (grazing) around ponds, together
with measures to protect/improve irrigation ditches, protect hydrologic balance, and
prevent off-site damage, particularly changes to Dolores River channels and pit capture.
vi. Establish new laterals if required to ensure continued irrigation of remaining land and all
ponds on the site and continued return flows from uphill irrigation to Dolores River.
vii. Ensure that roads, entry, pipe and culvert inlets and outlets are stabilized.
viii. Ensure that remaining berms are stabilized and adequately vegetated and protected
from erosion and sedimentation.
ix. Pond elevations (of OHWM) and precise sizes and shorelines are estimated based on
anticipated mining, quality of materials, materials brought to site, and other factors.
These are subject to change based on actual excavation and site conditions.
x. Montezuma County requires that the ponds be irregular and natural in appearance,
avoiding rectangular footprints as done at previous locations in the Dolores River Valley.
7. Minimize disturbances to the prevailing hydrologic balance of the affected land and of the
surrounding area and to the quantity or quality of water in surface and groundwater
systems (CRS 34-32.5-116(4)(h) and Rule 3.1.6(1))
c. Protect areas outside of the affected land from slides or damage (CRS 34-32.5-116(4)(i))
d. Do grading in a manner to control erosion and siltation of the affected lands,to protect
areas outside the affected land from slides and other damage (Rule 3.1.5(3))
e. Stabilize and protect all surface areas of the affected land to effectively control erosion
((CRS 34-32.5-116(4)(j)and Rule 3.1.6(3))
f. Describe what measures will be taken to minimize disturbance to the hydrologic balance,
prevent off-site damage, and provide for a stable configuration of the reclaimed area
consistent with the proposed future land use (Rules 6.3.3(1) and 6.4.5(1)(e))
5182-22-001 WASTELINE, INC..
