4.0 Site Description <br /> The West Side Placer project is located in a remote area of Moffat County, Colorado, covering approximately 70 <br /> acres.The site is located 35 miles north of Craig, Colorado, and is strategically positioned to access key mineral <br /> deposits.This section outlines the geographic location, current land use, ownership, and the environmental and <br /> habitat conditions present at the site. <br /> 4.1 Geographic Location and Boundaries <br /> The project area is located approximately 35 miles north of Craig, Colorado, along Highway 13. From there, ac- <br /> cess is gained by traveling west along Moffat County Road 4 for 15 miles, followed by a half-mile journey south <br /> on Moffat County Road 88.The site is situated on the eastern side of the road at an elevation of approximately <br /> 6,200 feet above sea level. <br /> County:Moffat County, Colorado <br /> Sections: 14 <br /> Township: T12N <br /> Range: R94W, 6th Principal Meridian <br /> Latitude/Longitude: 40' 59' 2 1" N, 107'54' 02"W <br /> Permit Area: 80 acres,primarily encompassing rangeland and wildlife habitat. <br /> The boundaries of the West Side Placer project are designed to avoid high-quality sagebrush habitat in Dry <br /> Gulch,located on the east side of the project area, respectively.
