M-2023-043
Seeley Reservoir Stockpiles
Exhibit I— Soils Information
The United States Department of Agriculture(USDA)Natural Resources Conservation Service
(NRCS) Soil Survey was used to obtain information on the project site soils. The NRCS soil
survey has been attached for reference.
The project site consists of primarily loams, sandy loarns, and fine sandy loams according to the
NRCS. Existing surface soil within the project site consists of Kim loam, Fort Collins loam,
Ascalon loam, Olney fine sandy loam, and Otero sandy loam. The majority of soil within the
project footprint are well drained, belonging to hydrologic soil groups A,B, and C,and being of
low to very low runoff potential even when thoroughly wetted. The site has a generally flat
topography with slopes from 0 to 5 percent.
The property slopes southeast from an approximately 4,750-foot elevation in the north to
approximately 4,695 feet in the south. Most of the site is cultivated farmland, with similar loam
soils throughout the majority of the site. There is a small portion of the site adjacent to the
reservoir with natural vegetation.
