These waters resemble each other in their low content of alkalies
and metals and their high content of earths. Both are low in
chlorine. They contrast principally in the larger percentage of
SO. radicle in the Durant tunnel sample. Both are dominantly
calcium and magnesium bicarbonate and sulphate waters. Their
composition is such as might be expected in waters of surface origin
that have descended through a sedimentary series including lime-
stone and dolomite. Their quality is neutral or slightly alkaline.
"110 Limited Imoact Ooeratiort means any mining operation which requires a 110(1) or
110(2)permit:
(a) A 110(1) permit affects five (5)acres or less and requires a permit issued under
Section 34-32-110(1Xaxlll), C.R.S. for the life of the mine;and is not an in situ
leach mining operation or a designated mining operation; or
(b) A 110(2)permit affects less than ten(10)acres and requires a pern it issued under
Section 34-32-110(2), C.R.S.for the life of the mine;extracts less than seventy
thousand (70,000) tons of mineral, overburden, or combination thereof per
calendar year, and is not an in situ leach mining operation or a designated inkling
operation.
The Proposed Mining Operation is less than 5 acres and will extract less than 70,000 tons of
material per calendar year and qualifies as a Limited Impact Operation as outlined in Colorado
State Statue 34-32-110(1)(a)(III).
