Exhibit H
Wildlife Information
The LTS Performance Horses LLC site located in Weld County is a productive agricultural site
under a center pivot irrigation system. The site is adjacent to other agricultural fields, residential
buildings, and buildings associated with agricultural operations. Therefore, it is assumed that
wildlife habitat fragmentation has already occurred and that no significant further fragmentation
will occur as a result of the proposed topsoil mining activity.
AGPROfessionals (AGPRO)visited the site on June 28, 2024. A log with photos taken during
this visit is included for reference. Additionally, AGPRO performed a desktop review of
potential wildlife that might overlap with the site. Results of this review are summarized below.
Below is a list of species identified by Colorado Parks and Wildlife as having activity areas that
overlap with the site. Two of the identified species in the list below, the Black-Tailed Prairie Dog
and the Ferruginous Hawk are listed as "Special Concern"to the State of Colorado but are not
currently regulated. These two species were not observed during the site visit conducted by
AGPRO. The Burrowing Owl is listed as a State threatened species and the Preble's Meadow
Jumping Mouse is listed as a State and Federal threatened species. Although both State
threatened species were identified as potentially overlapping with the site, they were not
observed during the site visit conducted by AGPRO. Furthermore, Colorado Parks and Wildlife
reported no nesting sites for Burrowing Owls to be present at the site.
The species identified by Colorado Parks and Wildlife as having activity areas that could overlap
with the site and its corresponding type of activity are listed below:
Species Range
Big Brown Bat Overall Range
Hoary Bat Overall Range
Little Brown Myotis Overall Range
Red Bat Overall Range
Silver Hair Bat Overall Range
Tri Color Bat Overall Range
American Bittern Breeding Range
Band Tailed Pigeon Breeding Range
Brewer Sparrow Breeding Range
Burrowing Owl Breeding Rangeāno active nesting sites identified
Cassin Sparrow Breeding Range
LTS Performance Horses LLC
AGPROfessionals LTS Topsoil Mine
DRMS Construction Material 112 Permit
DEVELOPERS OF AGRICULTURE Case No.M-2024-XXX
