implementing a 1Oft interval, then visually
compared to Trapper's SL25 map.
The quality of the data over most of the SL-25
parcels is good, but, as described above,
4, ti
collection problems over the southern portion of
` •: ti the larger parcel led to poor quality outputs in
this area. A discontinuity is obvious in the
contour lines, the DTM and the orthomosaic;
data in this area was excluded from analysis for
quantitative purposes. On the ground field
verification using an Apple Ipad loaded with the
M12 and M1 and M2 maps and utilizing
ArcGIS online for elevation readings allowed
the comparison and verification of elevation
' - contours between the maps as we walked along
this area tracking our location. This allowed
verification that the landscape achieved the
Illustration 1: Digital Terrain Model from which
elevation contours were generated.
elevations associated with the pertinent maps and that the landscape blended as required to the
approximate original contour delineated in the permit. For the E Pit parcels the method was the
same; tracking elevation and our location with ArcGIS online and elevation on the map and
comparing the results. When observing the site from a distance, say the area around the office the
reclamation blends well with the overall landscape.
IV. OBSERVATIONS and FINDINGS
The bond release inspection report can be referenced here:
https:Hdnrweblink.state.co.us/drtns/welcome.aspx?cr=I
Reclamation, comprised of backfilling and grading, partial topsoil placement and application of a
temporary seed mixture for the requested Phase I-SL25 bond release block. These activities occurred
between 2023 and 2024. TMI verifies topsoil replacement thickness by scraper load counts. TMI
included a load count for reclamation parcels in the application.
One constructed drainage was built. This topic is discussed in more detail below in the constructed
drainage section.
During the inspection DRMS noted that some areas of the reconstructed topography exhibited some
rilling and that rocks had been loosened or dislodged from some checkdams. These items were
promptly addressed and repaired by the operator and subsequent inspections have verified the repairs.
Until topsoil is spread throughout and seeded with permanent seed, some sediment transport on the
slope is expected until vegetation attains a certain level of maturity.
Permit Number C 19810 10 Prepared by: R.Reilley
SL25 Page 10 of 21
