2.05.3(3)(b)
(ii) Structures proposed for modification.
The Applicant does not plan any significant modifications to the
existing structures.
(c) Roads, Conveyors and Rail systems.
(i) Specifications.
Discussions of the existing conveyors, roads and rail systems
included within the permit area are found in the mine facilities
discussion of 2.05. Haul roads are discussed in Section 4.03.
Since the train loadout and stockpile area were built prior to the
passage of the state and Federal mining and reclamation acts
and the promulgation of these regulations, these roads,
conveyors and rail systems were not particularly constructed
according to the specifications set forth in this section.
(ii) Geotechnical analysis.
No geotechnical analysis is available for the locations of the
roads, conveyors and rail systems. The stability of these
existing structures has been proven by their successful use
over the past 20 years.
(iii) Natural drainages.
A 30 inch culvert was placed under the train loadout access
road at the one natural drainage that crosses the train loadout
and stockpile permit area.
(iv) Culvert protection.
The inlets of all culverts at drainage intersections of both haul
roads and access roads are protected in accordance with the
requirements of 4.03.1(4)(e)(iii) and 4.03.2(4)(e)(v).
RN -07 2.05-15 02/18
