Carter <br /> <br />RE: Florence Sand & Gravel Pit - File No. M-1992-051, Langston Concrete, Inc. <br /> Amendment (AM-1) <br /> Request for an Amendment to add 4.92 acres to permitted area. <br /> <br />Please be advised that on October 8, 2024, Langston Concrete, Inc., whose address and telephone number <br />are 902 South Union Street P.O. Box 279, Florence, CO 81226; (719) 784-3878, filed an application for <br />a/an Amendment (AM- 1) to M1992051, Florence Sand & Gravel Pit, which is located approximately 0.5 <br />miles South of Florence, Section 21, Township 19S, Range 69W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Fremont <br />County. <br /> <br />Amendment to increase the permitted area by 4.92 acres, bringing the total permitted area to 82.32 acres. <br />Includes an updated mining and reclamation plans and maps. <br /> <br />A decision date has been set for January 6, 2025.Written comments or objections to the application may be <br />submitted to and additional information obtained from Jocelyn L. Carter at the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (720) 666-1065. <br /> <br />Langston Concrete, Inc. is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the <br />locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make comments <br />on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within twenty (20) days <br />of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review process by the <br />Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not receive your <br />comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume you have no <br />objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
