No hydrologic or <br />air quality issues were detected at the time of inspection. Skies were partly cloudy, and there was an <br />intermittent breeze with a short afternoon rainstorm. Temperatures hovered around 65 degrees <br />Fahrenheit. <br /> <br />PERMITTING ACTIONS in PROGRESS: <br />SL 25 <br /> <br />MAINTENANCE ITEMS COMPLETED <br />1. Repairs have been made to constructed drainages MF2, MF3 and MF’ in Parcels ZA 17, LA18 <br />and LAB19. <br />2. West Buzzard Pond #3 channel has been repaired. <br />3. West Buzzard Pond #4 spillway has been repaired. <br />4. Far East Buzzard and East Pyeatt #1 ponds require sediment markers. <br />5. Sept No Name #2 spillway had been repaired. <br />6. Johnson system vegetation growing in spillways has been cleared. <br /> <br />INSPECTION <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />J Pit West: Mining in the east area of the pit is scheduled for late this year (2024). Mining should be <br />completed early next year (2025) so reclamation could begin. <br /> <br />D Pit: The temporary seed mixture comprised of triticale showed good germination and cover. Erosional <br />features existing at the apex of the D Pit constructed drainage as well as areas between check dams and <br />along slopes had been repaired. D pit permanent seed mix and topsoil of remaining area are scheduled for <br />application in the autumn of 2024. <br />N Pit: Coal extraction was not occurring at the time of inspection. Blasts were being prepared on the <br />east end of the pit. The stuck highwall miner had been abandoned and buried. <br /> <br />L Pit: The dragline was working at the south end of the pit. Coal and overburden were being loaded and
