Russell <br /> <br />RE: Cresson Project - File No. M-1980-244, Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company <br /> Amendment (AM-14) <br /> <br /> <br />Please be advised that on October 1, 2024, Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company, whose address <br />and telephone number are P. O. Box 191, Victor, CO 80860; (719) 851-4048, filed an application for a/an <br />Amendment (AM- 14) to M1980244, Cresson Project, which is located approximately 0 miles of Victor, <br />Section 20, Township 15S, Range 69W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Teller County. <br /> <br />The scope of Amendment 14 (AM14) is to extend the life of mine to 2049 by adding 189 million tons of <br />leach capacity through construction of Phase 4 of the Valley Leach Facility (VLF) 2 and Phase 6 of VLF1. <br />AM14 also proposes the laybacks for Elkton, South Cresson, and Globe Hill Pits. Lastly, AM14 includes an <br />expansion of the affected lands boundary by 14.2 acres for the construction of an employee parking lot and <br />0.63 acres for a monitoring well access road. <br /> <br /> <br />A decision date has been set for December 30, 2024.Written comments or objections to the application may <br />be submitted to and additional information obtained from Elliott R. Russell at the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) 903-4456. <br /> <br />Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of <br />general circulation in the locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you <br />wish to make comments on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be <br />submitted within twenty (20) days of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the <br />application review process by the Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication <br />date. If we do not receive your comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the <br />Division will assume you have no objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
