L Lewicki & Associates
ENGINEERING I GEOLOGY I ENVIRONMENTAL
July 20, 2024
Jason Burkey
United Companies
2273 River Road
Grand Junction, CO 81505
Camelletti Milner#2 Pit Permit No. M-2001-023
Slope Stability Analysis and Nearby Structures
United Companies is taking over the Camelletti Milner#2 Pit in Routt County, Colorado. This permit
(M-2001-023) is being transferred, requiring new structure agreements to be obtained between the
applicant and structure owners within the affected area of the mine. Agreements for all structures
within 200 feet of mining have been pursued by the applicant, but not all have been obtained. This
slope stability analysis satisfies the Mineral Rules and Regulations for Construction Materials Rule
6.4.19(b) that requires an engineering evaluation demonstrating that structures should not be
damaged by mining activities in the case that a structure agreement cannot be reached. While there
are various structures within the 200 feet of affected area from the permit, only the nearest
structures to mining were evaluated for slope stability purposes. It can be assumed that any
structure not covered in this analysis will not be affected as they are located greater than the
minimum setback from mining identified in this report.
1 . Nearby Structures and Existing Agreements
Structure and setback agreements have previously been obtained for the structures and utilities
within 200 feet of the affected area of the mine. The original agreements can be found in the
existing DRMS permit and subsequent revisions. Attached is the Nearest Structures Map which
provides the location in relation to mining of the structures closest to mining, which are listed in
Table 1. The nearest any excavation will approach a structure is 50-feet, a setback from the local
gas and electric utility lines.
Kattenberg Pit Slope
Stability Li Lcwichi& Associatcs
December 2022
