• 1000LORADO <br /> -.d Division of Reclamation, <br /> ® Mining and Safety <br /> Department of Natural Resources <br /> Notice of Proposed Decision <br /> The Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety has issued a proposed decision to <br /> approve Bond Release Application No. 12 (SL-12)for the Keenesburg Strip Mine,Permit No. C- <br /> 1981-028. This proposed decision is for a Phase II bond release of 9.68 acres for Area 30 and a <br /> Phase III bond release of 30.55 acres for Areas 23, 29, 30, and 31. The surface operation is <br /> operated by Coors Energy Company under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br /> Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release application was submitted by Coors Energy Company <br /> on May 14, 2024. This application requests Phase II release of Area 30(9.68 acres) and Phase III <br /> bond release of Areas 23, 29, 30, and 31 (30.55 acres; all areas but Area 30 were previously <br /> approved for Phase II release). All four areas are in the southwest corner of the site.
