General Description <br /> <br />The areas being applied for bond release are an impoundment (Streeter Pond) and post mine <br />channel (Streeter Ditch). Both structures will remain as a permanent structures post-mine in <br />their current as-built configuration. The 5.5 acres including both structures being applied for <br />bond release are shown on Map 1. <br /> <br />The Streeter Ditch is proposed for Phase I, II, and III bond release from Station 0+00 to 68+41 as <br />shown on Map 1. Design details for the Streeter Ditch can be found in Permit No. C-1981-008, <br />Volume 2C, Exhibit 7 Item 14, and the profile for the channel is located on Map 33. <br /> <br />The Streeter Pond proposed for Phase I, II, and III bond release has been requested by the <br />surface landowner to remain permanently post-mine. Please refer to Volume 1, Section 4.05.9 <br />Impoundments and Volume 2B, Exhibit 3 for additional information pertaining to the surface <br />landowners request. The as-built condition for the Streeter Pond can be located on Figure Exh. <br />7-14P-1. The previously cited information is located in Permit No. C-1981-008. <br /> <br />The ten-year minimum bond liability period is not applicable for a permanent impoundment and <br />post-mine channel. <br /> <br />B. Topsoil Replacement <br /> <br />The applicability of Rule 4.06.4 does not apply to permanent impoundments and post-mine <br />channels. <br /> <br />C. Revegetation Success Demonstration <br /> <br />The applicability of Rule 4.15.8 does not apply to permanent impoundments and post-mine <br />channels. <br /> <br />D. Post-Mining Land Use <br /> <br />The surface landowner has requested to retain the Streeter Pond as a permanent structure on their <br />property, and the Streeter Ditch is a permanent post-mine channel that is designed and <br />constructed to remain in the post-mine surface. <br /> <br />Both the Streeter Pond and Ditch support the post mine land use of wildlife and rangeland by <br />providing a water conveyance structure and water source post-mine. <br /> <br />
