Please be as specific
as possible.
Comment/Objection Narrative*
To express my opposition to the proposed Stroh Pit in the middle of the Thompson River Ranch neighborhood.
Arguments below:
-Site is surrounded on all sides by 1200+homes, in addition to multitudes or apartments on Ronald Reagan
Blvd.with unobstructed views if the site
-Site is within a stones throw of many homes, mine included
-site is mere blocks,or less, from the new PK-8 school
-Frontage road is one of only 2 access roads to TRR and will be the main road for the hundreds of daily gravel
trucks
-Frontage road is heavily used by commuters getting off of 1-25 at Hwy 402 en-route to Johnstown Plaza and
beyond
-Frontage road speed limit is 45 mph, it will only be a matter of time for an accident with gravel trucks to occur
resulting in serious injury or death.
-There is no way that Coulson can build berms high enough to shield the site from residents
-Noise,dust,chemicals will drastically impact all nearby homes and result in a lower quality of life and reduced
property values.
-The adjacent Kirtright Pit was mined up until 2008 and the reclamation date was in 2013.That site has yet to
be reclaimed and is a complete eyesore to this date.
