<br /> The Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for
<br /> coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Blue Mountain Energy, Inc on May
<br /> 8,2024 for the Deserado Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b)of the Rules and Regulations of the
<br /> Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining,we are providing notice of this proposed
<br /> decision.
<br /> Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal
<br /> hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of date following the first publication of
<br /> the public notice by the Division in the Rio Blanco Herald-Times.
<br /> The underground mine is located approximately 7 miles Northeast of Rangely,Colorado. The permit area is
<br /> further described as follows:
<br /> Portions of Sections 1,2,3,4, 10, 11,and 12,T2N,R101 W,6th PM,all in Rio Blanco County; Portions of
<br /> Sections 17, 18, 19,20,21,23,25,26,27,28,30,31,34,35,and 36,T3N,R101W,6th PM;All of Sections
<br /> 22,29,32,and 33,T3N,R101 W,6th PM,all in Rio Blanco County.
