This face appears to have been
created by past flood events on the Rio Grande River. It is
marked by erosion channels where water has run off the
rangeland into the river bottom.
The site is currently used as rangeland and consists of a
gravel terrace paralleling the eastern side of the Rio Grande
River valley. The usable materials on this site ranges from 5
to 50+ feet deep. The natural face in the preceding paragraph
will be left intact along the north, west and most of the south
sides, creating a 15 to 25 feet deep basin with a nearly flat
floor surrounded by 3h to lv slopes .
