<br />Dear Sir or Madam:
<br />
<br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for
<br />coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Blue Mountain Energy, Inc on May
<br />8, 2024 for the Deserado Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the
<br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed
<br />decision.
<br />
<br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal
<br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of date following the first publication of
<br />the public notice by the Division in the Rio Blanco Herald-Times.
<br />
<br />The underground mine is located approximately 7 miles Northeast of Rangely, Colorado. The permit area is
<br />further described as follows:

<br />Portions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12, T2N, R101W, 6th PM, all in Rio Blanco County; Portions of
<br />Sections 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 34, 35, and 36, T3N, R101W, 6th PM; All of Sections
<br />22, 29, 32, and 33, T3N, R101W, 6th PM, all in Rio Blanco County.

<br />Rangely, CO 81648. A Copy of the Division's “Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance” is
<br />available at Moffat County Clerk and Recorder, 221 W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625; Rio Blanco County
<br />Clerk and Recorder, 500 Main Street, Meeker, CO 81641. The renewal application and decision
