RECEIVED <br /> CIVIL RES1IOURCES, LLC <br /> JUN12 20i4 ENGINEERS & PLANNERS <br /> June 11,2024 Colorado Division of Reclamation, <br /> Mining and Safety <br /> DRMS <br /> 1313 Sherman St. <br /> Denver, CO 80203 <br /> RE: DRMS Permit M-2023-033,Ewing Gravel Mine Technical Revision Two(TR2) <br /> To Whom it May Concern, <br /> Background <br /> This letter discusses the proposed Technical Revision#2(TR2)for the Ewing Gravel Mine.The mine is located between <br /> the South Platte River and US Highway 85 at the junction of US Highway 85 and Country Road 16. <br /> Proposed Technical Revisions <br /> The following adjustments are proposed to the Exhibit C-2 Mining Map: <br /> Disturbance Boundary&Affected Boundary <br /> - The affected land boundary was readjusted and has been reduced by three tenths(0.3)acres. <br /> - The disturbance boundary has been reduced by nine tenths (0.9) acres. Changes to the disturbance boundary <br /> include; moving the disturbance to include the entrance road into the site, moving the boundary further south <br /> along the southern edge of the site and hugging the western edge of the potential wetland area. <br /> Mine Areas&Slurry Wall <br /> - Mine highwalls of both mining Pods 1 and 2 were adjusted to include a minimum thirty (30) foot setback from <br /> the new slurry wall alignment.The updated Pod 1 and 2 surface areas are thirty-nine(39)acres and eleven(11) <br /> acres, respectively. <br /> - Grading along the Pod 2's eastern border has been adjusted to be west of the potential wetlands. <br /> - A new slurry wall alignment follows in between the eastern highwall of Pod 2 and the western edge of the <br /> potential wetland area. Along the southern end of the wetland area, the slurry wall expands south towards the <br /> southernmost edge of the existing DRMS permitted area.The new alignment length is 6,348 feet. <br /> - Overburden stockpiles located around the processing and sales area were slightly adjusted to the southeast <br /> and northwest.
