GBEA 6
3. Will any additional road improvements specifically for mining be required in support of the operation?Rule
6.3.3(g)
Previously stated
"All roads within the boundaries of the pit and those outside are
multipurpose in nature, ranching, agricultural, and the pit (mining), are
the primary uses. The pit and property (Twin Buttes) entrance is on the
west side of Hwy 139, between mile markers 48 and 49. The gate is
locked. Within the pit there are 1640 ft of roads."
"As previously stated there are 1640 ft of roads within the pit boundaries.
The roads are unimproved and of the native soil and rock. A description
of what is commonly called a "two-track" road fits well (30 ft wide).
Roads are not graveled or hardened. If conditions warrant, the roads will
be hardened with material from the pit ( e.g., operating during wet
conditions).
There are no culverts, shoulders, or waterways associated with roads
within the pit boundaries."
No additional permanent roads will be built within the pit boundaries. The existing"two-track" roads
will be maintained as previously stated(e.g. hardened with rock product from the pit, as needed). The
existing roads also support ranching and agricultural operations on the areas outside of the pit, as such
they will remain and not be reclaimed. Existing roads, at a width of 30 ft, cover 1.12 acres and will not
be reclaimed.
See the following map.
Wagner Pit#M2023038,Owner&Operator:Twin Buttes Land Co LLC
Wednesday, May 29, 2024
