EXHIBIT E Reclamation Plan
Reclamation will be of two methods... one for high wall slopes and one for low sloping pit floors.
Both will be to promote revegetation to at least the native cover provided before mining.
Slopes will be finished at 2:1 maximum during the phase of mining for each area.No hanging walls
will be left for slope construction after mining is completed. Stiped overburden is stockpiles in berms
above property perimeter slopes. This stored overburden along with added manure will be spread at a
minimum of 4" on finished slopes to provide a growth medium. In low sloping areas, the slopes will
be at approximately 1%to allow surface drainage and will be covered with at least 3" of fine-grained
material with manure for growth.
Approximately 100,000cy of overburden is stockpiled to date. After mining is complete and all
slopes are to grade,it is estimated that 30,000cy of material is needed to provide a 4" cover over the
approximately 50 acres of stripped surface.Ditches and ponds will be filled as required but will not
disturb drainage patterns for future land uses. It is assumed that all of the reclaimed property will be
developed as industrial/commercial as currently zoned to conform with other Smeltertown
properties.
In total, approximately 100 acres of disturbed area will be reclaimed with reseeding. Half will be
treated with topsoil and half will rely on the exiting topsoil. All areas will be treated with manure at
the rate of 50 tons per acre(5,000 total tons)and 13-13-13 commercial fertilizer at the rate of 200
pounds per acre(10 total tons). Seed beds will be prepared by disc and harrow. Seed will be a blend
of Sodar Streambank Wheatgrass,Rosanna Western Wheatgrass and Critana Thickspike Wheatgrass
drilled at 8 pounds per acre each(2,400 total pounds).Fertilizer and seed blend will be as confirmed
by CSU Extension Agent at the time. Fertilizer will be compatible with grass blend selected.
At this time,no buildings are intended to be removed. After reclamation, the site is meant to be used
for industrial/commercial purposes.
EXHIBIT F Reclamation Plan Map(As per mining plan maps and schedules,Exhibit D)
Features shown on this plan are to remain through reclamation. The pit floor will provide the acreage
for development as shown in F2 which depends upon how deep mining goes before termination and
reclamation.
