<br /> Oi --4 to 0 inches; dense, slightly decomposed mat of the remains of sedge and rush plants.
<br /> A-- 0 to 12 inches; black (2.5Y 2/0)silt loam; moderate coarse subangular blocky structure; hard,
<br /> friable, slightly sticky, non-plastic; many fine and very fine roots; few fine interstitial pores; 5
<br /> percent gravel; neutral (pH 6.8); clear wavy boundary.
<br /> Ag -- 12 to 18 inches; black (2.5Y 2/0)very gravelly silt loam; common fine distinct greenish gray
<br /> (5BG 5/1) mottles; moderate coarse subangular blocky structure; hard, friable, sticky, non-
<br /> plastic; common fine and very fine roots; few fine interstitial pores; 30 percent gravel, 5

<br /> chroma of 0 to 3. The texture of the fine earth fraction is silt loam, loam, sandy loam, or
<br /> silty clay loam. The soil has 0 to 35 percent rock fragments.
<br /> The Ag horizon, where present, has hue of 10YR to 5Y, value of 3 or 4 dry, and 2 or 3
<br /> moist, and chroma of 0 to 3. The texture of the fine earth fraction is silt loam, sandy
<br /> loam, or loam. The soil has 5 to 40 percent rock fragments.
<br /> The Cg horizon has hue of 10YR to 5Y, or 5BG, value of 4 or 5 dry, and 2 to 4 moist, and
<br /> chroma of 0 to 6. The texture of the fine earth fraction is sandy loam, loamy sand, silt
<br /> loam, clay loam, sandy clay loam, or sand. The soil has 10 to 60 percent rock fragments.

<br /> moist; extremely acid (pH 4.1); clear smooth boundary.
<br /> Oel --4 to 11.5 inches; dark reddish brown (5YR 2/2) and very dark gray (5YR 3/1) rubbed
