Much of <br /> the south facing slopes are exposed clays, bedrock, mining debris, and effective <br /> moisture retention is poor (polygon B-2, Map B-2). The flats A,C,and D in Map B-2, are <br /> greasewood, some sagebrush, western wheatgrass, and the ubiquitous downy brome <br /> (Bromus tectorum, cheatgrass). Some species are missing due to the winter conditions. <br /> Permanent Man-Made Structures (b) <br /> There are no man-made structures within 200 feet of the Wagner Pit. The closest <br /> structure is an historical cabin 0.5 miles south and it sits on Federal land (BLM). <br /> Water Resources (c) <br /> West Douglas Creek and Waggoner Draw are both classified by the Colorado Division of <br /> Water Resources (CDOW) as intermittent streams. Both are within 150 feet of the <br /> boundary of Wagner Pit. <br /> There are no springs or other water sources within the boundary of the pit, nor within a <br /> reasonable distance.
