EXHIBIT A— Legal Description <br /> The pit area is approximately 11.9 acres in the dry creek bed of Patent Creek <br /> running through the SE '/4 Section 14, T6N, R47W of the 6th P.M., Phillips County, <br /> Colorado. Delineator boundary posts will be set to mark the pit areas as shown on the <br /> map. <br /> EXHIBIT B — Index Map <br /> See attached <br /> EXHIBIT C — Pre-Mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Lands <br /> See attached <br /> EXHIBIT D — Mining Plan <br /> a) The mining is expected to begin after a permit is obtained. The operation will <br /> provide material for road construction or landscaping, Anticipated life of the pit <br /> is 10 years. <br /> b) The mining plan is to begin removal of the material beginning at the east side <br /> of the pit area and proceed westward. Excavation will continue as the need <br /> for material counties and, as the supply remains available. There is currently <br /> no topsoil in the creek bed itself. There is topspin in the areas outside the <br /> creek bed which is 0-5" in depth. The area lying outside of the creek bed will <br /> have the topsoil stripped and stockpiled for re-application during reclamation. <br /> The bank along the creek will also be stripped and stockpiled for later us in <br /> re-vegetation. Any topsoil stockpile will be seeded with brome grass to <br /> prevent soil erosion. <br /> c) There would appear to be no waste rock or material at the site. <br /> d) Mining is anticipated to a depth of 10 feet inside the creek bed and up to 20' <br /> depth in the area outside the creek. The mining plan is to begin at the east <br /> end of the pit and proceed west. No slopes will be left grater than 3:1. <br /> e) The pit will be accessed from an existing trail which begins at CO. RD. 11. <br /> There will be no shop, plant, or other facilities located at the mine site. The <br /> equipment used to mine the gravel will be a front-end loader, large track hoe, <br /> dozer, and trucks. Some stockpiling of material may be done at the site, but <br /> mot of the material will be utilities as it is mined. Any stockpiling that does not <br /> occur will be placed in line with the drainage flow line that runs through the <br />
