No endangered or threatened wildlife species are
known to these locations. The proposed project is in a short grass prairie habitat that is in a production
area for Greater Prairie Chicken, but there are no known Greater Prairie Chicken breeding areas (teks)
in that area.
If during construction, wildlife species dens or nests are encountered, we recommend that you contact
the local District Wildlife Manager or a Colorado Parks and Wildlife office as soon as possible to avoid
the accidental take of that species. CPW also recommends that proper measures be taken to prevent
the establishment and spread of noxious weeds during construction.
On behalf of CPW, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to review and comment on these
projects. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call District Wildlife Manager Kyle
Gordon at (970)466-0505.
Sincerely,
. 9‘.,
Todd Cozad
Area Wildlife Manager - Area 3
Cc: S.
