PERMIT#:M-1992-051
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS:HR1
INSPECTION DATE:January 23,2024
sand resource should the addition of a wash plant to the site be approved by the Division. A processing area is
located to the southwestern of this fines pile (Photo 13). The only areas which have been reclaimed to their
intended industrial use are located on the eastern half of the site, where several product stockpiles are located.
The approved reclamation plan for the site calls for minimal back sloping of any highwalls to a slope no greater
than 2H:1 V.No revegetation will occur onsite, as the approved post-mining land use is industrial. Instead, the
plan commits to leveling the pit floor and `plating' the pit floor by way of placing 6-12"of pit run material on
the pit floor. The site will then be used for various types of industrial use as outlined in the plan approved under
CN 1.
The Division currently holds a financial warranty amount of$38,100.00 for this site. The bond was last assessed
post inspection in 2016 through the processing of TR-01. In an effort to ensure the Financial Warranty
adequately reflects the actual current cost of fulfilling the requirements of the approved reclamation plan, the
Division has updated the reclamation cost estimate. The Division has found the current bond to be adequate for
reclamation of the site. However, the Operator should be aware that a bond increase is likely to follow once the
above referenced corrective actions have been taken.
Photographs taken during the inspection have been included below.Responses to this inspection report should
be directed to: Hunter Ridley at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215,
Denver, CO 80203. Direct contact can be made by phone at 720-868-7757 or via email at
hunter.ridley(u,state.co.us.
PHOTOGRAPHS
-.R4KSHA
99¢A NINE ID
Y-1 .0503:
LANESTON IT
PEED
LIM
t-., II
' u A Velrn Enset Plorentt CO 81216 } I.
CDPHE Pe
N ifimit .04-006]-007
00x340!63 971RN1 0430067••
'OY
4 v 6 1' W-.RCTYS, -
Photo 1: Mine sign posted at the site entrance off S Union Street.
