West <br /> <br />RE: Leadville Mill - File No. M-1990-057, Union Milling Company, LLC <br /> Permit Conversion (CN-3) <br /> Conversion to 112(d) <br /> <br />Please be advised that on February 8, 2024, Union Milling Company, LLC, whose address and telephone <br />number are P.O. Box 620490, Littleton, CO 80162-0490; (303) 947-3499, filed an application for a/an <br />Permit Conversion (CN- 3) to M1990057, Leadville Mill, which is located approximately 2 miles Southwest <br />of Leadville, Section 28, Township 9S, Range 80W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Lake County. <br /> <br />This Amendment proposes Cyanide Tank Leach Leach recovery for precious metals, additional surface <br />disturbance, and a new Filtered Tailings Storage Facility. Also proposed are significant updates to the site, <br />and the permit including the Environmental Protection Plan. <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for May 8, 2024. Written comments or objections to the application <br />may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Lucas J. West at the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) 866-3567 x <br />8187. <br /> <br />Union Milling Company, LLC is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in <br />the locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make <br />comments on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within <br />twenty (20) days of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review <br />process by the Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not <br />receive your comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume <br />you have no objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
