West <br /> <br />RE: Butala Gravel Pit - File No. M-1977-170, Butala Construction Company <br /> Amendment (AM-2) <br /> Permit Amendment Application (AM-2) <br /> <br />Please be advised that on February 5, 2024, Butala Construction Company, whose address and telephone <br />number are 9000 CR 152 P.O. Box 907, Salida, CO 81201-9519; (719) 539-2521, filed an application for <br />a/an Amendment (AM- 2) to M1977170, Butala Gravel Pit, which is located approximately 0 miles of <br />Salida, Section 25, Township 50N, Range 8E, 10th Principle Meridian, in Chaffee County. <br /> <br />Application to amend permit pursuant to June 15, 2023 Settlement Agreement between Butala Construction <br />Company and DRMS. This Amendment will update the Mining and Reclamation plans, no additional <br />acreage is being requested. <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for May 6, 2024. Written comments or objections to the application <br />may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Lucas J. West at the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) 866-3567 x <br />8187. <br /> <br />Butala Construction Company is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in <br />the locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make <br />comments on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within <br />twenty (20) days of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review <br />process by the Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not <br />receive your comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume <br />you have no objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
