Rocky Mountain Industrials
ROCKY MOUNTAIN 6200 S.Syracuse way,Suite 450
t N D u S r R I A L S Greenwood Village, CO 80111
Highwall stability will be achieved through the removal of with the potential for
additional movement. By completely removing ,the potential for future
rockslides will be fully mitigated.
Safety on site during operations is of paramount importance. Daily inspections of the highwall and
keeping a safe distance from the potential future failure area are keys to keeping mine personnel and
visitors safe. Currently, a medium sized safety berm is in place to prevent access into potential rockfall
areas. RMRA plans to increase the size of this berm to create a 15-foot tall rockfall berm. This berm
would act as a catch for any future rockfall activity. In the new mining plan, all personnel working inm
will be positioned to the side of- and never below them. This ensures
their safety in the event of another slide event.
RMRA understands that future detailed information will be necessary during a permit amendment.
RMRA plans to work with CODRMS on a permit amendment, if one is required, after the conclusion of
the permit modification process with the BLM.
