Presently, the pond floor is mostly revegetated with willow and cottonwoods. In the spring, <br /> groundwater pools in the southeast portion of the pit. Two topsoil stockpiles containing total of approximately <br /> 4,000 cubic yards of material are present on-site. Five hundred cubic yards of topsoil will be used to reclaim the <br /> pit. The landowner will dispose of the remaining topsoil. <br /> The reclamation plan calls for the side slopes of the pit to be graded to a 3H:1 V slope. <br /> Approximately half of the side slopes around the perimeter of the pit are almost vertical and 6 to 8 feet high. The <br /> reclamation work will involve: 1)re-grading the pit walls to a 3H:1V slope (1,000 LF), 2) Grading and applying <br /> four to five inches of topsoil on a portion of the pit floor(0.33 Acres).
