shall be considered full compensation for all labor, materials, equipment, and all other <br /> items necessary and incidental to the loading, hauling, and disposal of tires. Payment will <br /> be as this item is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> ITEM 3.0 Grade, Topsoil, and Seed <br /> The area where the tires had been stored must be graded so that water does not pool <br /> and drains from the area in a non-erosive manner. Once graded, the area must have a <br /> layer of topsoil added to a minimum depth of six inches. Seed and certified weed free <br /> mulch must be applied to the area once it the topsoil has been placed. The OWNER'S <br /> seed mix obtained from the conservation district or equivalent approved by the <br /> PROJECT MANAGER must be used. Approximately 0.5 acre of land is required to be <br /> graded, have topsoil placed, and be seeded. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Payment for Item 3.0 shall be reflected in a lump sum quote price under Item 3.0 on the <br /> Bid Schedule. Payment shall include all the CONTRACTOR'S expenses for grading, <br /> placing topsoil and seeding the tire storage area as directed by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. Such payment shall be considered full compensation for all labor, <br /> materials, equipment, and all other items necessary and incidental to the grading, <br /> placing of topsoil, and seeding of the tire storage area. Payment will be as this item is <br /> completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER <br /> PROJECT OBSERVATION <br /> The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction <br /> activities and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design <br /> specifications. The PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business <br /> hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) on weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on <br /> weekend days or holidays without prior approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the <br /> Contractor's responsibility to schedule inspections with the Project Manager so as not to <br /> delay the work. The following items must be observed and approved by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: <br /> 1 . Each truck load of tires. <br /> 2. Receipts from legal disposal facility <br /> 3. Final grade of tire storage area. <br /> 4. Thickness of topsoil. <br /> 5. Application of seed. <br /> Page 9 of 9 <br />
