Key Elements of a Blasting Plan <br /> I. Blast Schedule Notification: <br /> a. Identify where blasting will occur; <br /> • All blasting will be inside of the affected area of the Pikeview <br /> Recalmation Project M1977-210-04 <br /> • Address 7250 Allegheny Drive Colorado Springs CO <br /> • Area A Upper west portion of the Pikeview Quarry <br /> • Area B Lower north Portion of the Pikeview Quarry known as <br /> a the Dragon's Back <br /> c. Day(s) and time(s) of blasting; <br /> • Day of the blast will be determined <br /> • Time of day will be after 7.00 am and prior to 4.00 pm <br /> d. Methods used to control access; <br /> • All site operations will be halted 30 minutes prior to blast <br /> sequence <br /> • Nonessential personnel will be sent offsite <br /> • The existing quarry gate will be closed and locked during <br /> blasting <br /> • Any onsite personnel will be gathered at the scale house until <br /> blasting is complete <br /> • 980 Loader will be parked across Pikeview Quarry road during <br /> the shutdown <br /> e. Outline warning signals (e.g., sirens, horns, etc.); <br /> • Three horn Blasts will be sounded 10 seconds prior to blast <br /> detonation <br /> f.
