Box 1488 <br />Paonia, CO 81428 <br /> <br />Re: Bowie No. 1 Mine (Permit No. C-1981-038) <br /> Bond Release Application No. 9 (SL-9) <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Bear: <br /> <br />In accordance with Rule 3.03.2(5)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining (Rules), you are hereby notified that the Division's decision to approve <br />Bond Release Application No. 9 for the Bowie No. 1 Mine became final on December 9, 2023. <br /> <br />Bond Release No. 9 reduces your reclamation liability by $265,217.95. The current liability is now <br />$2,402,900.54. The Division suggests you provide a copy of this letter and copies of the OSM and BLM <br />concurrence letters to your bonding company for written evidence of approval to reduce your bond.
